Job summary

Paris Regional is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a PRN capacity. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to implement rehabilitation plans, assist with scheduling and documentation, and educate families and staff on follow-through programs to support patient recovery.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate Degree as a PTA, current PTA licensure where services are rendered, and CPR certification if required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA program culminating in an Associate Degree.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA in states served.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the Physical Therapist, implement patient care plans for rehabilitation.
• Assist with patient scheduling and post charges to patient records daily.
• Document patient care in alignment with regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and a clean, safe work area.

How You'll Contribute

• Works in a team where you will provide quality, compassionate care in a secure setting.
• Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, you will implement the patient's Care Plan for rehabilitation. Help mentally and/or physically impaired patients to participate in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance their performance.
• Communicates patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
• Documents patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Instructs patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintains equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handles job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA program culminating in an Associate Degree.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA or equivalent in the states where services are rendered.
• CPR certification (when required).
