Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to perform home health visits across York and Adams counties, PA. The PTA will support adult and geriatric patients in their homes, delivering treatments and education as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

The role requires PA PTA licensure, a 2-year PTA program, and relevant hands-on experience under PT supervision. BAYADA emphasizes compassionate care and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have current licensure or certification in Pennsylvania.
• Graduated from a two-year PTA program approved by the APTA with transcript or diploma.
• If initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977, one year PTA experience and proficiency exam per USPHS.
• At least one year of work experience under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Other activities as requested.

Responsibilities

• Perform home health visits for adult and geriatric patients in private homes.
• Provide treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Education

Current licensure or certification in Pennsylvania

Graduation from a two-year PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)

One year PTA experience and proficiency exam (USPHS criterion, if initial qualification before 1977)

At least one year supervision under a licensed Physical Therapist

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA, for a Part-Time opportunity performing Home Health visits throughout York and Adams counties .

This office services adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in their private homes .

As a home care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) you will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Each Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) must:

• Have current licensure or certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
• Have one year of appropriate experience as an Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977
• Have at least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.
• Other activities, as requested.
