Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role offers an hourly wage of $27–$37 depending on experience.

The PTA will work within the Acute Inpatient Rehab Unit to support patient care and recovery. The position requires IL licensure as a PTA and current BLS/CPR certification, with opportunities for ongoing professional development and comprehensive

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Previous experience in the care of patients preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities.
• Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
• Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
• Documents services provided and patient response/progress; educates patient and family/caregiver about deficits.
• Assists with patient discharge planning and information regarding adaptive equipment and community support.

How You'll Contribute

• Implants treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
• Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
• Documents services provided and patient response/progress. Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
