Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant at St. Catherine Rehab Center in Indiana. The PTA will work under the supervising therapist to carry out treatment plans and monitor patient progress, documenting responses and adjusting goals as needed.

Qualified candidates hold PTA licensure, with CPR/BLS current; prior patient-care experience is preferred. The role emphasizes patient education, discharge planning, and coordination with families and caregivers.

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Previous experience in the care of patients preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities and seeks consultation as necessary.

• Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits; assists with discharge planning.
• Provides information regarding adaptive equipment and community support programs.

How You'll Contribute

A Physical Therapist Assistant who excels in this role:

• Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
• Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning.
