We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team and provide high-quality, resident-centered rehabilitation services in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Provide day-to-day treatment, including training in bed mobility, transfers, gait, stairs, ambulation on various surfaces, therapeutic exercise programs for ROM, strengthening, stretching, re-education, balance, and coordination.
Communicate with other disciplines as needed to enhance interdisciplinary teamwork and improve patient care.
Participate in home visits, family conferences, and community awareness or marketing activities when appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in residents' medical records.
Provide treatment according to the established plan of treatment.
Supervise rehabilitation and restorative aides regarding patient treatments, ROM, ambulation, and positioning.
Complete all required documentation and treatment changes in a timely manner according to facility policies.
Meet department standards for completion of discharge documentation, including FIMS, home treatment programs, and equipment recommendations following discharge.
Record and submit required treatment charges according to facility policies and procedures.
Current Massachusetts State License as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Graduate of an APTA-approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Must comply with state, federal, and APTA standards of practice when planning and carrying out treatment programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic and cooperative therapy team.
