Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Georgia is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join a patient-centered team. You will deliver treatments, monitor progress, and educate patients on home exercises as part of comprehensive care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program, a Georgia PTA license or eligibility, CPR certification, and competence with CPT/ICD-10 coding. You will document care and support administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare or related field.
• Graduate of accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Georgia PTA license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
• Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments per physician orders and plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs and post-discharge care.
• Document treatments, progress, and discharge planning accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidential and compliant patient records.
• Record treatment charges and complete documentation daily.
• Assist in maintaining clean, organized treatment areas and equipment.
• Provide support to Physical Therapy Aides as needed.
• Respond to urgent or emergent situations per protocol.
• Offer occasional administrative support including answering phones and scheduling patients.
