Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join the rehabilitation team at Austell, GA. The PTA will deliver skilled treatments, document progress, and educate patients on home exercise programs.

Strong CPT/ICD-10 knowledge and accurate documentation are required, with CPR certification and eligibility for GA PTA licensure. On-site, full-time with a collaborative team culture and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare or related field.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Georgia PTA license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
• Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs and post-discharge care.
• Document treatments, progress, and discharge planning accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidential and compliant patient records.
• Record treatment charges and complete documentation daily.
• Assist in maintaining clean, organized treatment areas and equipment.
• Provide support to Physical Therapy Aides as needed.
• Respond appropriately to urgent or emergent situations per protocol.
• Offer occasional administrative support including answering phones and scheduling patients.
