Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare or related field.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Georgia PTA license (or eligibility).
• Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
• Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments per physician orders and plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs and post-discharge care.
• Document treatments, progress, and discharge planning accurately.
• Maintain confidential and compliant patient records.
• Record treatment charges and complete daily documentation.
• Assist in maintaining clean, organized treatment areas and equipment.
• Provide support to Physical Therapy Aides as needed.
• Respond to urgent or emergent situations per protocol.
• Occasionally provide administrative support including answering phones and scheduling patients.
