Kenansville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, located in Kenansville, NC, is a long term care facility seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). You will provide patient care under a PT, assist with referrals, document progress, and ensure compliance with physician orders and state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a PT.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab.
• Document patient participation and progress with progress notes and PT co-signature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Attend rehab meetings and participate in scheduling of patients.
• Assist with billing and billing accuracy for PT services.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff and community as needed.
• Comply with facility safety policies and patient confidentiality regulations.
