Job summary

Rockwell Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Charlotte, NC is hiring a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists. You will provide therapeutic interventions under supervision, monitor patient progress, and help with daily documentation and coordination of care.

Responsibilities include scheduling patients, assisting with treatment plans, ensuring orders are obtained, maintaining patient confidentiality, and collaborating with the rehab team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a PT.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab.
• Document patient participation and progress with progress notes.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments.
• Assist with other documentation per state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed.
• Supervise PTA students or junior staff as needed.
• Maintain professional relations with staff and families.
• Comply with safety policies and patient confidentiality.
