Job summary

Rockwell Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Charlotte, NC is hiring a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide compassionate care under the supervision of a licensed PT. Qualified graduates with a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy and a current state license/registration are required.

Duties include presenting comprehensive treatments, documenting progress, assisting with patient referrals, and supporting the rehab team consistent with state guidelines and facility

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the PT.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings when indicated by Supervisor.
• Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in scheduling of patients as indicated.
• Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for physical therapy services rendered.
