Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited therapy assistant program is required.
• Clinical skills in physical therapy assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, contribute to assessment related to diagnosis.
• Provide interventions aligned with the treatment plan and customer-focused health needs.
• Complete daily charges, progress notes, and reports accurately and timely.
• Monitor and adjust therapeutic interventions based on patient response.
• Educate customers and families as appropriate and document learning needs.
• Coordinate communication with the care team for discharge planning and ongoing care.
• Demonstrate competency in clinical skills annually for unit-specific therapies.
• Organize schedules to maintain productivity and inform supervisor of caseload changes.
• Contribute to department operations including program development and quality improvements.
• Comply with HIPAA, laws, and corporate policies.
