Job summary

Maple Health and Rehab is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver PT services under the direction of a licensed PT. You will support a collaborative, interdisciplinary team and help residents improve strength, mobility, and confidence.

You will screen, treat per plan of care, and document progress while maintaining professional interactions with residents and staff. The role offers growth opportunities and requires adherence to regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Valid state PTA license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Assist in screening and input to initial evaluations.
• Implement treatment per the established plan of care.
• Comply with documentation and billing guidelines.
• Establish and maintain patient-centered interactions with patients and staff.
• Provide supervision to rehabilitation technicians during treatment.
• Integrate PT services into facility and interdisciplinary plans.
• Participate in utilization reviews, case conferences, and meetings as directed.
• Maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals and colleagues.
• Make referrals to other rehab team members as needed.
• Communicate patient progress to the supervising therapist in a timely manner.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, privacy, and facility policies.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Understand payment models and treatment guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Conduct oneself ethically; perform other duties as assigned.
