Job summary

Apploi in Missouri is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatments, tests and evaluations to residents under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.

You will collaborate with Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, document progress, manage equipment, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

This role requires flexibility with hours and the ability to lift and assist residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatments, tests and evaluations of residents under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.
• Comply with the Facility's policies, safety, and corporate procedures.
• Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator or Director of Nursing.
• Reports to on-site Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with dignity and respect.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy for planning treatments; evaluate resident performance and communicate with nursing and physicians.
• Document resident progress and treatments in accordance with therapy plans as directed by the Registered Physical Therapist.
• May maintain and inventory durable medical equipment; order supplies and equipment for the therapy department.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations regarding Rehabilitation Therapy; participate in meetings and handle therapy billing, questionnaires, and progress notes.
• Assure compliance to all State and Federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, and fire safety.
• Assure compliance to Resident's Rights.
• Essential Job Duties/Physical Requirements: lift/carry requirements, ability to operate safely, and other physical demands as described.
