Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient care. You will perform therapy procedures, document progress, and adjust treatment within the established plan while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

This role requires an Associate's degree, current licensure or temporary permit in the state of practice, and a Health Care Provider Basic Life Support certification. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Licensed in the state of practice or holding a state-authorized temporary permit/license.
• Entry-level position welcomed.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy to patients.
• Perform physical therapy procedures as delegated by the supervising PT.
• Modify a treatment procedure within the established plan based on patient status.
• Document patient progress notes and treatment outcomes.
• Address age-specific needs and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the Physical Therapy aide.
