Job summary

Blessing Health System is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Therapy team in assessing patient needs and implementing plans of care. You will work under supervision to deliver PTA care across diverse populations, from neonates to geriatrics, aligned with the hospital's mission and improvement plan.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and current Illinois PTA licensure, with strong communication skills and a commitment to patient safety and quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with strong written and verbal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possesses current Illinois PTA license or authority letter from the Department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient/family health problems and resources and participate in plan of care development.
• Provide PTA care and interventions to assigned patient populations under the Therapy team.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assessing patient /family health problems and resources, and following the Physical Therapist role in development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan of care provided by the Therapy team. This position provides technical Therapist care and interventions to assigned patient populations.
This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.

REQUIRED:

GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

License/Certifications/Special Requirements

POSSESSES CURRENT ILLINOIS PTA LICENSE OR LETTER OF AUTHORITY FROM DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL REGULATION IN STATE OF ILLINOIS.
