Job summary

Blessing Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to assess patient health needs and support therapy team in developing, implementing and evaluating care plans. You will deliver technical PTA interventions to diverse age groups from neonate to geriatric in a hospital setting.

The role supports the hospital mission and aligns with the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan while providing compassionate, evidence-based care under general supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient/family health problems and resources and contribute to the plan of care.
• Provide PTA care and interventions to assigned patient populations across age groups.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assessing patient /family health problems and resources, and following the Physical Therapist role in development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan of care provided by the Therapy team. This position provides technical Therapist care and interventions to assigned patient populations.

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

License/Certifications/Special Requirements

POSSESSES CURRENT ILLINOIS PTA LICENSE OR LETTER OF AUTHORITY FROM DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL REGULATION IN STATE OF ILLINOIS.
