Job summary

Blessing Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to assess patient health problems and resources, and to support development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of care plans with the Therapy team. This role provides PTA care across age groups from neonate to geriatric and requires alignment with the hospital's mission and core values while supporting Safety/Performance initiatives.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assessing patient /family health problems and resources, and following the Physical Therapist role in development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan of care provided by the Therapy team. This position provides technical Therapist care and interventions to assigned patient populations.

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.

Required

• GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

License/Certifications/Special Requirements

POSSESSES CURRENT ILLINOIS PTA LICENSE OR LETTER OF AUTHORITY FROM DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL REGULATION IN STATE OF ILLINOIS.
