Pana Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated and clinically proficient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)to provide quality physical therapy services under the direction of a Licensed Physical Therapist. In this role, you will administer treatment programs, perform patient tests and measurements, assist with therapeutic exercises, mobility, transfers, ambulation, balance, and functional activities, and provide education and motivation to patients and families. You will document patient care and progress, communicate patient status and treatment responses to the Physical Therapist and healthcare team, and maintain compliance with hospital policies, Medicare guidelines, safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards. The PTA will work collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach to patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Illinois license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current CPR certification.
• One year of previous experience preferred.
• Current driver's license and reliable, insured automobile.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to work with spreadsheets.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current physical therapy practices.
