Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Falls Church, VA is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time, part-time, or per diem role to perform home health visits for adults and seniors. The PTA will assist clients in achieving optimal physical well-being under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Requirements include VA licensure, a two-year APTA-approved PTA program, and at least one year of experience under PT supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have VA PTA licensure or eligibility to practice as PTA in VA.
• Graduated from a two-year PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• One year of PTA experience and a satisfactory proficiency exam if qualified before Dec 31, 1977.
• At least one year of work experience under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy procedures, treatments, tests, and client education as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Perform home health visits to adult and geriatric patients in Falls Church, VA and surrounding territories.

Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA, for a full-time, part-time, or per diem opportunity performing home health visits. This office services adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in territories throughout Falls Church, VA.
As a home care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) you will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
Each Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) must:

• Have current licensure or certification in the state of VA
• Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
• Have one year of appropriate experience as an Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977
• Have at least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.
• Other activities, as requested.

Base Pay, depending upon qualifications:
$50-$55 per point
