Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in York County, PA seeks an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for full-time or part-time home health visits throughout York and Adams counties. The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver treatment, tests, education and appropriate interventions in patients' private homes.

Candidates must be licensed in Pennsylvania and have completed a two-year PTA program approved by the APTA; at least one year of PTA experience and a supervision

Qualifications

• Must hold current licensure or certification in Pennsylvania.
• Graduate of a two-year PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Minimum one year of PTA experience with a proficiency exam if qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
• At least one year of work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well-being.
• Provide treatment, tests, client education and interventions as delegated by a licensed PT.
• Perform home health visits to adult and geriatric patients in private homes.

Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA for a Full Time or Part-Time opportunity performing Home Health visits throughout York and Adams counties.

This office services adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in their private homes.

As a home care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) you will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Each Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) must:

• Have current licensure or certification in the state of Pennsylvania


• Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or


• Have one year of appropriate experience as an Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977


• Have at least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.


• Other activities, as requested.

Additional Information:

Base Pay, depending upon qualifications and subject to negotiation:

$45.00 - $55.00 per point
