Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time home health position serving Montgomery County, Maryland. The PTA will perform visits in senior living facilities and private homes, traveling to Chevy Chase, Potomac and Rockville areas.

The role involves providing treatment, tests, client education and interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, maintaining licensure in MD and leveraging prior PTA experience to support

• Must have current licensure or certification in MD
• One year of PTA experience with supervision by PT recommended
• Graduated from a two-year PTA program approved by the APTA, as indicated by transcript or diploma

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being during home health visits
• Travel to and service clients in Montgomery County, including Chevy Chase, Potomac and Rockville areas

Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA, for a full-time opportunity performing home health visits for our Montgomery County Senior Living Visits office.This office services adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in senior living facilities throughout Montgomery County, Maryland.

This PTA will primarily be traveling to Chevy Chase, Potomac and Rockville area.

As a home care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) you will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Each Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) must:

• Have current licensure or certification in the state of MD.
• Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
• Have one year of appropriate experience as an Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977
• Have at least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.
• Other activities, as requested.

Additional Information:

Base Pay, depending upon qualifications: $43.00-51.00 per point.
