Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.

You will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. A patient-centered approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School GED General Studies, or High School Graduate General Studies.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR.

Responsibilities

• Manages their time effectively throughout the day to facilitate efficiency within the department.
• Under the direction of the Physical Therapist, provides appropriate assistance in groups/concurrent sessions and individual sessions.
• Assists with orientation and in-service training for newly hired aides (staff) and volunteers.
• Assist therapists with implementation of multi-disciplinary plan of care for each patient.
• Develops skills that enhance and align with the department clinical and business development through proper use of new technology for accurate and appropriate assistance.
• Assists with patient care activities only as directed by licensed therapists.
