Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy in Commack, NY, is seeking Physical Therapist Aides to join a collaborative team in a state-of-the-art facility. You will support therapists, prepare materials, and assist patients with prescribed exercises in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong knowledge of anatomy, therapy equipment, and safety procedures, with opportunities to grow in a multidisciplinary setting and provide excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from home office and provide transportation to shifts.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of therapy equipment used in rehab settings.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record patient conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Prepare heat/ice packs; assist patients to the pool; guide exercises and monitor effort.
• Maintain treatment equipment and assist with preventive maintenance.
• Educate patients on equipment use and exercise routines.
• Assist with front desk duties and scheduling as needed.
• Prepare treatment rooms and manage supply inventory.
