Qualifications

• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of the equipment used in therapy work.
• Knowledge of the behavior and needs of patients.
• Knowledge of proper strengthening techniques.
• Knowledge of the use of restraints and aggressive behavior management practices.
• Ability to successfully complete in-service training.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record conditions, reactions, and changes in patients' physical condition.
• Ability to maintain appropriate attitude and conduct necessary to the welfare of patients.
• Ability to create and maintain records and write brief reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Help treat patients by preparing heat and ice packs; assisting to the pool; guiding exercises and strengthening techniques.
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment; perform preventive maintenance; troubleshoot.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercises.
• Prepare patients for therapy by welcoming and assisting into sessions.
• Provide information to patients and address questions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safe operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and equipment.
• Provide equipment and supplies handling and setup for therapy area.
• Prepare the treatment room for patients and assist with scheduling.
