Job summary

RCM Health Care Services is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to support students in a school-based setting in Columbia, SC. This onsite role offers a compensation range of $49-54 per hour, with PRN 2 hours per month, and a school-year contract.

You will interpret orders, assess gross motor skills, develop and adjust treatment plans, complete IEP/Medicaid forms, and collaborate with educational teams. Pediatric experience preferred; SC driver's license required; on-site duties during school

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist, valid in SC
• SC Driver’s License
• Pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician orders related to professional area of responsibility
• Assess gross motor skills and therapeutic equipment needs of students
• Develop, implement, monitor, and modify treatment plans based on physician orders and assessment of student as appropriate
• Complete IEP, MET, Medicaid and treatment forms/reports
• Maintain treatment/progress notes and Medicaid documentation per professional standards
• Train Paraprofessionals/PTAs on various student plans
• Regular and predictable attendance

Position Summary

School-based physical therapists help students improve mobility and physical function so they can fully participate in the classroom and throughout the school environment. As related service providers under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), they collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement therapy goals that support each student's access to and success in the general education curriculum.
