Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services seeks an experienced occupational therapist for a part-time school-based assignment in Columbia, SC. The role is onsite and involves collaboration with the IEP team to support student goals.

The OT will develop IEP goals, deliver direct and consultative services, and help students develop fine motor, sensory, and executive function skills within a school setting. Compliance with IDEA and related laws is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current SC OT licensure required.
• Experience in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEP goals and objectives with the IEP team.
• Provide direct and consultative OT services per IEPs.
• Develop RTI plans and provide services as outlined in plans.
• Support students in fine motor, sensory regulation, visual-motor integration, self-care, and organization.
• Modify environments and materials to support access and participation.
• Provide training to teachers, paras, and families.
• Maintain documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and Medicaid billing (if applicable).
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborative planning.

School Based Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT)

Compensation Range: $43-50/hour

Location: Columbia, SC; Onsite – School Setting

RCM is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time assignment working with our client in Columbia, South Carolina!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Part-time Occupational Therapistforthe 26-27 school year. Please consider that this OT would be the onlyOT for the school community caseload and should be comfortable working independently.
2. Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives in collaboration with the IEP team.
3. Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in students' IEPs.
4. Develop Response to Intervention (RTI) plans and provide services as outlined in plans.
5. Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory regulation, visual-motor integration, self-care, and organizational skills.
6. Adapt and modify the learning environment and educational materials to support student access and participation.
7. Provide training, resources, and consultation to teachers, paraprofessionals, and families.
8. Maintain accurate documentation including evaluation reports, progress notes, service logs, and Medicaid billing records (if applicable).
9. Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and other collaborative planning efforts.
10. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education and therapy services.
11. Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and professional licensure requirements.
12. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Designee.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in South Carolina.
• Experience working with children in educational settings is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and relevant educational laws and procedures
