Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care and contribute to the therapy department's outcomes. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, supervise assistants, document thoroughly, and coordinate with families and physicians.

Experience with geriatric rehabilitation, neurological, cardiac, or general rehab is preferred. Current licensure and CPR may be required, with commuting to patient sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities used in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic and orthotic devices, ambulatory aids, and assistive devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all types and levels of patients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Develop effective plan of treatment and obtain physician approvals.
• Supervise PTAs and aides in direct patient care and related activities.
• Document services in medical records and ensure billing alignment.
• Communicate progress and plans with supervisor and interdisciplinary team.
• Educate families and nursing staff on programs and follow-up.
• Interview patients and families about prior function and recovery goals.
• Collaborate with rehab team and contribute to conferences.
