Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care and contribute to the therapy department's outcomes. You will evaluate and treat patients, document in medical records, and collaborate with families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include supervising PTAs and aides, developing treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and billing requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities used in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic and orthotic devices and assistive devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all patient types.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approvals.
• Supervise PTAs and aides in direct patient care.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team.
• Instruct families and nursing staff on follow‑through programs.
• Interview patients/families about functioning and expectations.
• Document assessments and progress in medical records.
