Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join our home health team in Tennessee. In this role you will help patients regain movement and independence through personalized interventions, ongoing assessments, and thoughtful discharge planning, delivering care in patients' homes.

Shift is Fri, Sat and Sun, 3 10s, serving Bradley and Polk Counties. Compensation ranges from $58 to $60 per hour, with benefits including PTO, telehealth, HSA, wellness rewards, 401(k) with match, and

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program as defined by CAPTE.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health is preferred.
• If less than one year, mandatory mentoring/approval from regional clinical leaders.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days at minimum), and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you’re assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
