Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a Physical Therapist for weekend part-time coverage. This role supports patients where they are most comfortable—at home—through a leading home health and hospice platform.

You will help patients maintain and improve movement, perform repeat assessments, and plan discharges as appropriate. Requires an active PT license, CAPTE-accredited degree, CPR, and 1+ year home health experience.

Qualifications

• Active state physical therapy license.
• Graduate of CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• Minimum one year home health experience or regional leadership approval.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement and function.
• Provide interventions, perform reexaminations at least every 30 days, adjust plans as needed.
• Conduct discharge planning and other duties as assigned.

Attractive pay

• $70/hr to $85/hr

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you’re assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
