Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a physical therapist to support patients at home, delivering rehabilitation to improve movement and function within home health care.

This PRN days role offers hourly pay between $58 and $72, mileage reimbursement, and a benefits package including health plans, PTO, wellness rewards, and a 401(k) match.

You must hold a state PT license, CAPTE-accredited program, CPR, and have at least one year of home health experience or regional leadership approval if less.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited physical therapy education program.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days minimum), modify interventions as needed, and perform discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
