Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. Eligible candidates must graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program and hold a New York State PT license. New graduates with relevant fieldwork are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program (DPT preferred).
• Current New York State PT License or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience in skilled nursing/geriatric care is preferred; new grads welcome with fieldwork experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions and develop rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve pain through exercises, hands-on therapy, and stretching.
• Assist residents with tasks and monitor progress.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants' activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with laws and professional standards.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care.
