Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab in New York is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Graduate of an accredited PT program with current New York State PT license is required.

Experience in geriatric or SNF settings is preferred, but new graduates with clinical experience are encouraged to apply. We offer a $6,000 sign-on bonus, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, PTO from day one, CEU reimbursement, mentorship, and a modern rehab gym.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current New York State PT License.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new graduates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members
