Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. This full-time role offers a $7,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities for mentorship and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, designing rehabilitation plans, reducing pain through targeted therapies, supervising PT assistants, and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Competitive benefits and PTO are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
• Current New York State PT License
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new grads with relevant fieldwork encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions and develop rehabilitation plans
• Relieve residents’ pain using exercises, hands-on therapy and stretching
• Assist residents with tasks and monitor performance
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants
• Maintain resident confidentiality and protect facility information
• Comply with federal, state, and local requirements
• Maintain cooperative relationships among healthcare team members
