Job summary
Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a Full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility in New York. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is offered and strong opportunities for professional growth are available.
Requirements include a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and current New York State PT license. New grads with relevant fieldwork are encouraged to apply; experience in geriatric care is a plus. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
- Current New York State PT license.
- Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop rehabilitation plans.
- Relieve residents’ pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
- Help residents through tasks and monitor their performance.
- Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and protect facility information.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members.
