Inova Physical Therapy Center in Fairfax is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our outstanding team. This PRN or as-needed role supports intermittent coverage Monday through Friday, with a 1:1 patient treatment model and a formal mentorship program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required.
• Virginia Physical Therapist Licensure or Physical Therapist compact privileges required on start.
• BLS certification required on start.

Responsibilities

• Select evaluations and treatment methods based on the patient's diagnosis, age group, and status.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines and adjust treatment plans.
• Adhere to department policies regarding evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Outpatient Physical Therapist PRN Job Responsibilities:

• The Physical Therapist PRN selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• May perform additional duties as assigned
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist Licenser or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start

Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Preferred Requirements:

• One year in outpatient setting
