Job summary

Inova Physical Therapy – Springfield is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team. This full-time, day-shift role features clinic hours Monday-Thursday 7am-7pm and Friday 7am-4pm, with occasional evening shifts until 7pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• VA licensure or compact privileges acceptable on start.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required on start.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates skill competencies in treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines and updates treatment plans accordingly.
• Follows department policies for evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Provides instruction and supervision to assistive personnel per program/clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.

Physical Therapist(PT) Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Gives appropriate instruction and supervision to assistive personnel consistent with program/clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensure:Physical Therapist upon start (VA licensure or compact privileges are acceptable)
• Certification:BLS through the American Heart Association upon start

Preferred Qualifications:

• Physical Therapist (PT) experience
• Vestibular experience
