Job summary

Capitol Home Health, serving Central Texas, seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate referred patients and formulate treatment plans in a home-care setting. You will work cooperatively with physicians and case managers to deliver quality patient care.

The PT performs a variety of tasks and is encouraged to apply creativity within treatment plans, ensuring effective therapy for patients in Temple-area coverage.

Qualifications

• PT must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Baccalaureate, Master’s or Doctorate).
• Current and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state of employment.
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience; home health preferred.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization.
• CPR certification with hands-on practical skills as part of final testing.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for evaluating/assessing needs of referred patients and formulating treatment plans in a home care environment. The PT provides therapy services defined in treatment plans while working cooperatively with physicians and case managers. The PT performs a variety of tasks and is encouraged to use a certain degree of creativity and latitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of a Baccalaureate, Master's or Doctorate program in Physical Therapy program accredited by a Physical Therapy accreditation
• Current and unencumbered licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist within the state of employment.
• Two (2) years of appropriate experience as a Physical Therapist. Community/home health experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization
• Possess and maintain valid CPR Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.
• Access to reliable transportation.
