Job summary

Capitol Home Health in Central Texas seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver quality rehabilitative services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will work with patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary deficiencies, while upholding excellent customer service and complying with state and federal standards.

This position serves families across the Austin Metro Area and surrounding counties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with an associate degree approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current and unencumbered license to practice physical therapy services under the supervision of a PT in the state of employment.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Possess and maintain valid CPR certification with in-person practical skills evaluation.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative services under the direction of a Physical Therapist to patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
• Promote excellent customer service while adhering to state and federal standards.
• Collaborate with the supervising PT and care team to develop and adjust treatment plans.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing quality rehabilitative services under the direction and supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist. The PTA will be working with patients that have musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary deficiencies. PTA will promote excellent customer service while adhering to state and federal standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
• Current and unencumbered certification or license to practice physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of employment.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Possess and maintain valid CPR certification. Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.
• Access to reliable transportation.
