Job summary

Capitol Home Health in Central Texas is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to perform rehabilitative services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will treat patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs while delivering excellent patient service in a supportive, family-owned environment.

Candidates must have an accredited PTA program degree, TX license, CPR certification, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program (AS or AS degree).
• Current and unencumbered PT Assistant license/certification in TX.
• Proficient verbal and written communication; good organization.

Education

Associate's degree in science or applied science (APTA approved)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing quality rehabilitative services under the direction and supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist. The PTA will be working with patients that have musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary deficiencies. PTA will promote excellent customer service while adhering to state and federal standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
• Current and unencumbered certification or license to practice physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of employment.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Possess and maintain valid CPR certification. Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.
• Access to reliable transportation.
