Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift, full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and ensure delivery of prescribed therapies in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will supervise clinical support staff, collaborate with the care team, and engage in ongoing professional development while contributing to excellent patient outcomes and program growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• Active Physical Therapy license in Kansas.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Experience in medical or rehabilitation settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and delivers prescribed care per APTA standards and Kansas practice act.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes physical therapy services and professional development across the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned department leader.

• Performs physical therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the physical therapy practice act in the State of Kansas.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes physical therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned leader of department.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• Active Physical Therapy license in State of Kansas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
