Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS seeks a day shift, full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist to evaluate patients and develop plans of care in line with APTA standards.

You will oversee clinical support staff and promote PT services across the organization and community. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, an active Kansas PT license, and BLS within 14 days of hire; Master’s or Doctorate in PT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• Active Physical Therapy license in State of Kansas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the physical therapy practice act in the State of Kansas.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes physical therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned leader of department.
