Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a PRN Acute Care Occupational Therapist to join our team.

You will perform OT evaluations, develop and implement plans of care, and ensure delivery of prescribed services to patients in alignment with AOTA standards and state regulations. In this role, you will provide clinical supervision to support staff and contribute to innovative OT services while pursuing ongoing professional development within our hospital

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Currently Licensed as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs occupational therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and delivers prescribed care to assigned patients per AOTA standards and Kansas OT practice.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes innovative occupational therapy services and fosters professional development within the organization and the broader community.
• Works under the Rehab Services Supervisor in the assigned clinical area.

• Performs occupational therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the occupational therapy practice in the State of Kansas.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes innovative occupational therapy services and fosters professional development within the organization and the broader community.
• Works under the administrative direction of the Rehab Services Supervisor in assigned clinical area.
