Job summary

Palm Springs Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan and administer treatments for residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal concerns. The role requires current California licensure and a degree in Physical Therapy, with new graduates welcomed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (BS, MS, or DPT).
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Perform tests and measurements of strength, ROM, and respiration.
• Deliver direct resident care under an established plan of care.
• Complete forms and maintain records per policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.

• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care..
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
