Job summary

IHA in Michigan is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to independently evaluate and treat patients in outpatient settings, collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, set patient-centered goals, ensure documentation meets standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in care delivery.

The full-time, day-shift position requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (or equivalent), BPT, FSBPT certification, and Michigan licensure or eligibility, with a 40-hour work week, competitive

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (or equivalent) from an APTA-accredited program.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• FSBPT Certification.
• State license to practice Physical Therapy in Michigan or eligibility to obtain licensure before hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and services within the scope of license and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and diagnose patient conditions to determine PT needs.
• Set treatment goals with input from patient and family and document per standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to integrate physical therapy plan.

Position Purpose

The physical therapist will assume autonomous responsibility for evaluating patient’s need for physical therapy.

What The Physical Therapist ( PT ) Will Do

• Providing treatment and services within the scope of their license, certification or registration and as required by law and regulation.
• Evaluation and clinical diagnosis of patient conditions.
• Establish treatment goals utilizing input from patient and their family as appropriate Documentation remains in accordance with established internal/external timeliness standards, insurance standards, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Participates as a part of an interdisciplinary and patient-centered care team which includes the verbal and written exchange of information with other healthcare team members as it pertains to integrate a physical therapy treatment plan

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a Doctorate's or previously equivalent professional Physical Therapy training program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Required: Bachelor's in Physical Therapy
• FSBPT Certification.
• State of Michigan Physical Therapist License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS or equivalent
