Job summary

IHA is seeking a licensed physical therapist to help establish, direct, prescribe, and communicate care across the emergency department, medical/surgical floors, ICU, outpatient surgery, and long-term acute care. This part-time, day-shift position includes 0 weekly scheduled hours relief, reflecting flexible coverage and a strong team-based environment.

You will collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapies, document care per policy, and contribute to a robust, full-benefits

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy or equivalent accredited program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• FSBPT certification.
• State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure before hire.
• American Heart Association BLS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient’s need for physical therapy and contribute to care planning.
• Provide treatment within the scope of license and regulatory requirements.
• Document care and establish treatment goals with patient and family input.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to integrate physical therapy into the plan.

Position Purpose

The physical therapist will assume autonomous responsibility for evaluating patient’s need for physical therapy.

What The Physical Therapist ( PT ) Will Do

• Providing treatment and services within the scope of their license, certification or registration and as required by law and regulation.
• Evaluation and clinical diagnosis of patient conditions.
• Establish treatment goals utilizing input from patient and their family as appropriate Documentation remains in accordance with established internal/external timeliness standards, insurance standards, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Participates as a part of an interdisciplinary and patient-centered care team which includes the verbal and written exchange of information with other healthcare team members as it pertains to integrate a physical therapy treatment plan

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a Doctorate’s or previously equivalent professional Physical Therapy training program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Required: Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy
• FSBPT Certification.
• State of Michigan Physical Therapist License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS or equivalent
