Job summary

NHC HomeCare Greenville is seeking a Physical Therapist, PT to join our team. The PT will supervise and participate in applying physical therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.

The role includes coordinating therapy services, delivering ordered treatments, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance with state and federal requirements. A licensed PT with supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a BS or MS level course in physical therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Licensed or registered in the state where practicing.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Active member of the state and national Physical Therapy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise physical therapy services.
• Provide physical therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegate portions of the treatment program to the licensed physical therapy assistant.
• Instruct staff in delegated functions including precautions, problems, contraindications, goals and re-evaluation plan.
• Evaluate, plan and supervise treatments with short- and long-term goals for patients, with physician approval and periodic re-evaluations.
• Maintain patient care records per HomeCare agency requirements and third-party reimbursement qualifications.

PT Position Highlights

• Instructs the physical therapy staff in their delegated functions including precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.


• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and programs including the establishment of short-term and long-term goals for patients as approved by the physician with periodic re-evaluations.


• Maintains patient care records as designated by the HomeCare agency, assuring that third party reimbursement qualifications are met, as well as all state/federal requirements.
