Job summary

NHC HomeCare Murrells Inlet is seeking a Physical Therapist to supervise and apply physical therapy techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases in a homecare setting.

Applicants must be licensed as a physical therapist in South Carolina and have a BS or MS in physical therapy, with supervisory experience preferred. Active membership in state and national PT associations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have BS or MS in physical therapy accredited by APTA.
• Must be licensed or registered to practice in the state where the PT will practice.
• One year’s supervisory experience preferred.
• Active member of the state and national Physical Therapy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises physical therapy services.
• Provides physical therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates appropriate portions of the treatment program to the licensed physical therapy assistant.
• Instructs the physical therapy staff in delegated functions including precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and programs including the establishment of short-term and long-term goals for patients as approved by the physician with periodic re-evaluations.
