Job summary

National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) HomeCare Anderson is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist, PT to join our team. The PT supervises and participates in applying physical therapy techniques for rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.

The role coordinates and supervises PT services, delegates appropriate portions of treatment to the licensed PT assistant, and ensures documentation meets third party requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a BS or MS level graduate in physical therapy as accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Must be licensed or registered in the state of practice.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Active member of the state and national Physical Therapy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises physical therapy services.
• Provides PT services as ordered by the physician and delegates portions of the treatment program to the licensed PT assistant.
• Instructs staff on delegated functions, precautions, and plan for re-evaluation.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and goals for patients as approved by the physician.
• Maintains patient care records ensuring third party reimbursement qualifications and state/federal requirements.

PT Position Highlights

• Coordinates and supervises physical therapy services.
• Provides physical therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates appropriate portions of the treatment program to the licensed physical therapy assistant.
• Instructs the physical therapy staff in their delegated functions including precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and programs including the establishment of short-term and long-term goals for patients as approved by the physician with periodic re-evaluations.
• Maintains patient care records as designated by the HomeCare agency, assuring that third party reimbursement qualifications are met, as well as all state/federal requirements.
